Zang Zhicheng likes to stare at the blue sky, which makes him drunk. When he won this year's National May Day Labor Medal, he stared at the blue sky and said: "Such a good blue sky, must not be polluted by exhaust gas, I will continue to use China's emission reduction technology, let China's sky bluer."

21 years ago, Zang Zhicheng founded Kailong High-tech Co., LTD., devoting himself to the forefront of air pollution prevention and control research and industrialization in China. He has successively built the first national enterprise technology center in the field of internal combustion engine emission control, the national recognized laboratory (CNAS) platform, and the international first-class comprehensive performance test and research base of internal combustion engine exhaust system. It has formed the only complete industrial chain of emissions control in China, breaking the monopoly of multinational giants such as Bosch, Cummins, BASF and Zhuang Xin, and has made outstanding contributions to promoting the upgrading of internal combustion engine environmental protection emission standards and air pollution control

 

Chasing the dream for 20 years, from zero to strong break foreign monopoly
Zang Zhicheng was born in Wuxi in 1963. He is a senior engineer at the research level. He is currently the chairman of Kairon High-tech Co., LTD., the Vice President of the Reprocessing Branch of China Internal Combustion Engine Society, and the leader of the Diesel SCR Reprocessing Working Group of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee.
"Making the sky bluer with Chinese technology" has always been Zang Zhicheng's dream. To this end, he founded Kailong Hi-tech Co., LTD in 2001. He has been striving for more than 20 years in the internal combustion engine emission treatment industry, leading Kailong Hi-tech step by step from manufacturing automobile exhaust heater to building the world's only SCR(selective catalytic reduction method) exhaust aftertreatment independent innovation complete industrial chain, breaking the long-term foreign technology monopoly. To fill the blank of domestic automobile exhaust control, the company has realized the leap from filling position, grabbing position to standing position, and has grown into the leader of China's internal combustion engine parts industry.
On the eve of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Beijing implemented National IV emission standards, and Kailong Gaoxin won the bid of the Beijing Olympic Games exhaust control project, winning an important development opportunity. Later, the first set of national 4, National 5, national 6 internal combustion engine emissions treatment system was born in Kailon, leading the industry from scratch to break the foreign monopoly. It is understood that a set of exhaust aftertreatment system is composed of about 15 components, involving materials, chemistry, electric control, machinery, industrial design, fluid mechanics and other more than ten disciplines of comprehensive research and development and application, and each component product is a strong rival of a foreign company. To this end, Zang Zhicheng is under great pressure to invest heavily in research and development, and has joined hands with a number of domestic research institutes to break through a number of foreign monopolies in core technologies and key fields such as SCR injection system, electronic control system, carrier and catalyst. After being fully independent, one exhaust aftertreatment system has been reduced from 80,000 yuan to around 10,000 yuan, saving the country 50 billion dollars in foreign exchange.
Up to now, Zang Zhicheng has led his team to obtain 234 authorized patents in the field of internal combustion engine emissions (including 50 inventions), led or participated in the formulation of 19 national industry standards, won 9 provincial science and technology awards, undertaken 6 national projects and 11 provincial projects; Developed exhaust aftertreatment products for the national emission-reduction NOX16.82 million tons, PM48. 850,000 tons, for promoting the internal combustion engine environmental protection emission standards upgrade and air pollution control made a great contribution.
 
Set out to build a high-quality national brand
The forward-looking layout and refined quality represent the past and present of Chiron, while the independent innovation capability will provide continuous new momentum for the future development of the company. From bench testing, data collection to feedback tuning, Chiron's various departments can feel the thick atmosphere of research and development. Zang Zhicheng said that science and technology research and development is the foundation of Kailong, "our target is not domestic enterprises, but multinational companies." Therefore, over the years, he has resisted the pressure and kept an eye on the latest technological trends of "near-zero" emission control of internal combustion engines. He has the courage to catch up and is good at catching up. Especially since he led the creation of the Model Worker Innovation Studio, It has formed a research and development pioneer composed of 12 people, including model workers, craftsmen, doctors and technical experts. It has broken through the bottleneck of core technologies, such as high-efficiency catalyst, high-precision and high-reliability injection system, and established the first national enterprise technology center in the field of internal combustion engine emission control in China. It has also independently designed and built a number of production lines, such as carrier catalyst coating line, honeycomb ceramic carrier production line, urea injection pump assembly line, injection controller (DCU) assembly line, pump tank integrated urea distribution system assembly line and catalytic converter packaging, which has a complete industrial chain of tail gas post-treatment system. "Emission reduction is not a reduction in productivity, but rather, we need to develop and master independent and controllable green technologies." In the past year of 2021, the key technologies of State 6 exhaust reprocessing system for vehicles won the first prize of China Automobile Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, and the key technologies of Low emission exhaust reprocessing system for commercial vehicles won the first prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award. "Kailong High-tech supported the implementation of the national four to six emission laws and regulations for commercial vehicle diesel engine, solved the 'bottleneck' key technologies and parts of the reprocessing system, broke the foreign monopoly, and ensured the security of the industry." That's what the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association says about Chiron.
